Nick Makriannis joined Lee, Nolan & Koroghlian, LLC, as General Agent in September 2025. Beginning his career as a financial services professional at Equitable Advisors 24 years ago, he quickly became the leading associate in their New York City Office. Nick began his journey within management in 2006 and won 3 National Builders Trophies within three years. As a Senior Vice President within the Edison Branch, he was part of 2 Presidents Trophies taking one of the top prizes both years. The President’s Trophy recognizes the Top 10 offices Nationally in the Equitable system. In 2011, Nick was promoted to Executive Vice President of the Atlantic Branch. As the Atlantic EVP, Nick won 4 Presidents Trophies – including the Atlantic’s first since 2001.
Prior to joining Lee, Nolan, & Koroghlian, LLC., Nick was Senior Executive Vice President of the New England Branch overseeing all New England offices and leading them to 2 Presidents Trophies during his first two years. In 2021-2023 Nick became the Northeast Complex President which is comprised of the New England, New Jersey and Connecticut branches representing over 650 advisors and 40+ Vice Presidents throughout the region.
In 2013, Nick became a member of the Equitable’s Honor Guard Executive Committee and was the Chair of the Honor Guard Associate Development Committee. That same year he was awarded the 5 Star Wealth Manager Award for NJ. Nick helped lay the groundwork to develop the Special Needs planning initiative at Equitable Advisors. He is the Co Author of their field management training curriculum “Learn to Lead.” Nick is a founding member and the ex-Executive Managing Partner of “The Business Strategies Group of New Jersey,” an organization that specializes in business planning with closely held businesses. Nick was recognized by New Jersey Monthly Magazine as a 5 Star Wealth Manager Award winner from 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 with a concentration in business planning. He was later recognized as a Boston 5 Star Wealth Manager from 2023, 2024 and 2025. Nick earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the College of William & Mary, and later attended Columbia University's Coaching Center of Excellence.
Nick and his wife, Irene, are the proud parents of three sons George, Constantino, and Nick. The family resides in Randolph, NJ.

Actively licensed as a RIA or as a principal of a registered investment adviser firm for a minimum of 5 years; 3. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review; 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients. Evaluation criteria-considered: 6. One-year client retention rate; 7. Five-year client retention rate; 8. Non-institutional discretionary and/or non-discretionary client assets administered; 9. Number of client households served; 10. Education and professional designations.
